Time of Your Life (TOYL) is the vision of Karen Davis. With a background in beauty PR, she saw that beauty subscription boxes typically focused on young people. The products and looks being offered did not speak to women in midlife.
She was determined to compile a 40+ beauty subscription box service, with products and looks that work with the skin and make women look and feel their best. She knew that a single application isn’t sufficient to test effectiveness, so mini samples were out. Her boxes contain full or luxe travel-sized products and supporting information.
As an award-winning beauty blogger and author, Karen was also keen to source responsible beauty brands and understand more about the formulations. She actively meets brand founders, visits factories and gets the low down. Her blogs and podcasts help to build greater awareness of midlife beauty. What’s more, she remains independent of any brand to ensure her reviews and beauty tips are genuine.

Sustainable Beauty Boxes
TOYL contacted Aylesbury Box Company in their search for a new packaging supplier. They had previously been sourcing through a middleman but were less than satisfied with the service. By sourcing directly from a packaging manufacturer, they hoped to get a better service, whilst paying less.
Aware that the sustainability of the beauty industry is under scrutiny, TOYL was keen to ensure that all packaging was 100% recyclable. Fortunately, the fact that Aylesbury Box Company are UK based and FSC® certificated went in our favour.
They had a packaging specification for printed subscription boxes with a self-seal strip. And so, it was our job was to match the specification, manufacture the boxes at a competitive price and ensure they were delivered on time.
