When shipping globally, drinks packaging has to be sufficiently robust to ensure your products arrive undamaged. How did we improve the boxes to help bring healthy hydration to more customers?

Staying hydrated is vital for a healthy, energised body, so let us introduce one of our packaging customers; Get More Vits. This independent UK company has been producing refreshing bottled and canned soft drinks with a daily dose of goodness since 2013. What better way to keep cool in the summer heat or give your body that extra immunity boost in winter?
Sugar-free, with natural flavours and fresh spring water, Get More Vits are a delight for the tastebuds. The award-winning range includes a variety of fruity vitamin drinks, either still or sparkling. It includes a 330ml kids range which is ideal for lunchboxes.

The drinks are sold in a variety of UK supermarkets. Why not grab a 500ml bottle with a sandwich, stock up on a 4 can or bottle pack or opt for a larger 1-litre bottle? The full range can be ordered online, through the Get More Vits website, Amazon or eBay. The company has also gone global; now requiring international shipping to 17 countries!
Healthy Body, Healthy Planet
Get More Vits is a healthier alternative to many sugary soft drinks. If that wasn’t enough to give them a try, the company is working towards becoming a certified B-corporation. This is a measure of social and environmental performance. Success is dependent on evidencing a positive impact on employees, the community and the environment.
One step in this process is reducing carbon emissions. Internal efficiencies, coupled with a tree-planting partnership with Ecologi have helped with this agenda. Another step has been to review and improve supply chain sustainability, including the drinks packaging.
No Compromise on Drinks Packaging
Firstly, all of the packaging can be recycled. The bottles, caps and sleeves, as well as cardboard trays and shipping boxes, can go in the recycling bin, ready for kerbside collection.
Taking this a step further, the company pledged to make their bottles from a minimum of 30% recycled plastic by 2022. This goal was realised at the start of the year.
Initially, the cardboard boxes used to ship the drinks bottles were a little too thin. As a result, excess plastic packaging tape was required to securely hold the contents in the box. This generated an unnecessary cost and went against the eco-credentials of the brand. Get More Vits admitted that they received more than the occasional complaint about damaged goods due to poor packaging.

When looking for a more robust cardboard packaging option, Marketing Manager Zoe contacted a range of UK box companies to request samples and quotes.
