Bright Outlook for Corrugated Cardboard

Bright Outlook for Corrugated Cardboard

There’s been positive news regarding growth in the UK Manufacturing Sector, with rises in the demand for exports and consumer goods.  As the majority of goods need packaging for safe and secure transport and storage, the packaging industry is anticipating an increase in orders during the final quarter of 2016.

As producers of corrugated cardboard packaging, Aylesbury Box Company was pleased to read the Commodity Inside Outlook Report, which suggests the global corrugated packaging market is expected to outperform other packaging materials.

The report suggests that changes in market dynamics and consumer behaviour are driving the demand for corrugated cardboard packaging. It has identified that the increase in online shopping and a move by the food and beverage industry towards cardboard packaging has boosted the outlook for this simple yet practical material.

Doorstep and Letterbox Deliveries

Corrugated cardboard packaging has been proven to be effective in the storage and preservation of fresh and frozen consumables. Increasingly corrugated cardboard boxes have been used for doorstep deliveries including veg boxes, meat packages and low calorie meals. Smaller boxes have been designed to be the ideal size for dropping snacks, chocolates and fresh flowers through the letterbox, providing a convenient means of delivery.

Another advantage of cardboard packaging is that it is easy and affordable for boxes to be branded using a variety of printing techniques. A simple single print can even be added as part of the usual manufacturing process, keeping costs to a minimum, whilst helping to market a brand.

We might not get excited about a brown envelop dropping through the letterbox, but it is a different story when a brown box filled with tasty treats of scented blooms arrives!

Maybe a rethink of your product packaging would allow your company to deliver your goods directly into the hands of your customers. Could your brand be associated with the arrival of a much desired parcel through the letterbox?
