Ireland has long been home to hundreds of seaweed bath houses, which were valued for skin and muscle soothing. In Greece, thalassotherapy is a skincare ritual that embraces the benefits of seawater and seaweed.
The reason is that seaweed is naturally high in antioxidants, iodine, vitamins and minerals and when applied, it rebalances the natural oils in our skin and hair. The effect is nourishing and soothing to the body, yet many people might feel reluctant to step into a seaweed bath.

As a result, this sustainable process ensures there will always be plenty more seaweed in the sea.
