At Aylesbury Box Company we are proud that the majority of our team have been with us for many years. One of the most established members of our team is Enid.

If you are an existing customer, the chances are that you would have enjoyed a friendly conversation with Enid at some point. With a genuine commitment to delivering a positive customer service experience, Enid is always equipped with knowledge and a go-getting attitude.

Enid has worked at Aylesbury Box Company since March 2007. She says “When I first started, Adam Light took me under his wing and trained me. From that time on, I’ve taken pleasure from seeing packaging orders processed and delivered to satisfied customers”.

Fresh Opportunities

Enid and Adam are still here, but the company, packaging industry and customer requirements have changed over the last decade. Enid has noticed that when she first joined Aylesbury Box Company, the majority of orders were for basic, glued boxes. Customers are now requesting unique designs, bespoke boxes and printed packaging. She comments that “There’s now a greater concentration on tooling and artwork purchasing and the company has adapted to meet these demands”.

The decision to invest in a large scale manufacturing machine in 2016 was certainly a turning point for us. Changes to the factory floor (quite literally, with a requirement for reinforced concrete), organising wide-load transportation and installation challenges were worth the effort. The machine increased the capacity of the factory team and improved efficiency.

The new machine allowed us to supply bigger boxes and higher volume runs with a consistent quality. This opened up fresh opportunities to confidently manufacture larger packaging orders. Its’ also contributed to a reduction in waste. As a company that strives for sustainability, that’s an important factor.

Family Run Packaging Company

As Enid approaches retirement, she’s reducing her hours. We’re delighted that she’ll still be bringing her infectious positive attitude into the office. With two recent additions to the Customer Service Team; Jo and Martin, Enid has been handing over responsibility for customer relations and processing orders. She’ll now be assisting behind the scenes, in order to help keep everything operating as it should.

Enid says “Aylesbury Box Company is always trying to keep our customers happy. Despite the growth, this is still a family run company with a friendly atmosphere, making it a pleasant place to work”.
