Ice Cream Boxes Delivered
Hot summer days mean BBQs, trips to the seaside and ice cream. So, which are the best flavours and can you get ice cream boxes delivered to your door?
Ticking all the Boxes: Ice Cream Awards
We all have our favourite flavours of ice cream or sorbet. Are you drawn to rich and indulgent, fruity and refreshing or an original twist of ingredients?
If you’ve been seeking out an ice cream that ticks all the boxes, take a look at the National Ice Cream Competition. Described as the Oscars for ice cream, this annual competition has been running for 70 years and the 2023 results are in!
Judged on appearance, texture and taste, this year’s champion and winner of the best flavour was Pistachio Crunch by Frank’s Ice Cream. With Best of Vanilla awarded to Kingstonian Ice Cream. There are many other categories, including soft scoop, best of chocolate and sorbet of the year, so check out the medal winners*.
Now, not all of the UK’s independent ice cream makers are members of the Ice Cream Alliance which host this event. What’s more, not all members enter the competition. As a result, you might not spot your preferred maker in these listings. So, what would you pick to fill a tub or cone?
Bespoke Boxes of Ice Cream
Ice cream is far from the easiest product to deliver by post. However, with the right packaging, it is possible. Fortunately, corrugated cardboard is naturally insulating and ice cream boxes can be lined to help keep the contents frozen. This means that you can place an order and stock up for a party or keep your work colleagues cool!
Here are three of the UK parlours that blend tempting flavours and can deliver them to your door:
1. Ruby Violet Tubs
Using organic milk, blended with natural flavours, Ruby Violet creates delicious ice creams in Bedfordshire. These are sold from their parlour in Granary Square, Kings Cross. However, if you are not passing the station, the art school or Coal Drop yards, boxes of ice cream can be delivered to your door.
Ruby Violet also creates delightfully refreshing vegan sorbets and spectacular ice cream cakes. So, there is something for every preference! We supply delightful, printed boxes for this ice cream company and recommend you give their ice cream a try this summer.
2. Remeo Gelato Jars
If you are looking for an authentic taste of Italy, Remeo Gelato could be the answer. Gelato is made with the same ingredients as ice cream but with a different balance and process. This luxury ice cream brand offers sobettos – sorbet ice lollies, as well as luxury ice cream desserts.
Remeo jars are available to order through Ocado or directly from the company website. Individual portions are served in 100% recycled plastic jars, rather than tubs – see what you think!
3. Brickell’s Ice Cream
Based in Somerset, Brickell’s Ice Cream is made using fresh milk from their own herd of cows. This is hand blended into a French-style custard ice cream, with seasonal ingredients added to create a range of flavours. They started a local delivery service during lockdown and now have tried and tested insulated boxes to enable them to ship to stockists, and direct to customers, across the UK.
Ice Cream in Aylesbury
Finally, we have to mention our local ice cream company in Aylesbury. The Works serves a scrumptious selection of homemade flavours in their two Buckinghamshire restaurants. They also have an ice cream bike, which can be hired for events. This is a great way to bring ice cream to your door for sports days, weddings, social celebrations and parties!
