Drinks Packaging for Emerging Brands
In recent months, Aylesbury Box Company has supported the design and manufacture of drinks packaging for a number of emerging brands. What are they doing differently and how can we help them break into the market?
Changing lifestyles, priorities and tastes result in an ever-evolving food and drinks market. This leads to innovation, diversification and opportunities for new brands to step in. It is all about understanding what the consumer is looking for and how this can be delivered.
At present, consumers are looking for convenience, personalisation, ethical standards and free-from Options. How are the brands we’ve been working with meeting these requirements?
Free-from Alcohol with Real Kombucha
If you don’t drink or are the designated driver for the night, the options can be limited. Real Kombucha promises something new. Royal Flush is described as a great alternative to Prosecco, yet this drink is made from carefully fermented loose leaf tea with floral and fruity flavours. The packaging looks the part and it could be just the taste you’ve been looking for.
Free-from alcohol, the other drinks in the range are Dry Dragon, which is much like a crisp citrus wine and Smoke House, which is reminiscent of cider. At present, these grown-up soft drinks are largely being sold in pubs, bars and restaurants in London and Brighton. They can also be ordered through online stockists.
Personalisation from Princess P
Prosecco is nothing new, but with a focus on the gift market, Princess P offers to customise the package. From personalised bottles, to gift sets that include jewellery, scented candles and chocolates, they are offering more than just bubbly.
Princess P also provides a subscription service. Sign up to receive a monthly delivery of a prosecco bottle, accompanied by a small spirit, cocktail recipe, snacks and a pamper treat. Ideal for a treat night in. As the slogan on their packaging box says ‘life is too short and the store is too far’.
Convenience from Nice
Picnics, festivals or garden parties, there’s never enough glasses and disposable plastic cups are an environmental no-no. There isn’t a problem if you are drinking beer (or Real Kombucha) from a bottle and now Nice Drinks offers wine in a can.
Their single-origin, quality Sauvignon Blanc and Pale Rose wines come in slimline 250ml cans which are easily recyclable. This vegan beverage is now stocked by Sainsbury’s and two-can gift box is also available, providing #wineforwhenever.
Protective and Stylish Drinks Packaging
Whether sending to stockists or delivering a gift, the drinks packaging has to be protective, but it can also look the part. Cardboard inserts are a simple, yet effective way to keep bottles or cans in place during transit. This reduces the risk of damage, spillages and a fizzy explosion when the drink is opened.
Aylesbury Box Company offers support with the design of single or multi-drinks packaging. Whether you sell slimline cans or 750ml bottles of bubbly, we can create printed packaging to enhance your brand. If you would like to discuss the options, give us a call on 01296 436888.
