Sample Boxes for Decra Roof Tiles

One example was a request from Decra Roof Tiles. They created a unique metal roof tile back in 1977. The lightweight galvanised steel tile is given a protective coating and finished to give it the appearance of a traditional roof tile. Architects and developers are keen to receive a sample of this roof system, in order to decide whether it is suitable for their project.

Decra Roof Tiles are lighter than the traditional clay alternatives, yet they off incredible durability and strength. They are easier for builders to handle and install and are a low maintenance solution. We created a bespoke corrugated cardboard box with inserts. These hold a sample tile in place during transit and enhance the presentation when opened.

This roof tile design was the first metal tile to receive the CE Mark. This clarifies compliance with EU Directives for products used in construction. It is also the only roofing solution to achieve ‘Secured by Design’ certification which relates to sustainability and security.

This innovative product is manufactured in the UK and has been sold in over 70 countries. The sample boxes are, therefore, sent across the world. Although they have been used on many domestic and commercial developments, metal tiles are not widely known about. To help build awareness, the Decra sample box is printed with the company branding.

The simple, yet professional looking boxes can also be used as a convenient way to provide samples at building exhibitions and other international construction events.
