Branded Sneaker Packaging
Many of us have an obsession with shoes. Our choice of footwear is a statement; an expression of our personality. Luxury Connected is one business that has grown from a passion for footwear. In this case, two trainer fans decided to launch an e-commerce business selling what they loved most; designer trainers.
Having ordered a ‘fair few pairs of trainers’ and researching the market, Luxury Connected believed they could do it better. Most of their competitors adopt a drop shipping business model; they are the shop front, taking the orders, but the product is packaged and shipped by another company.
Luxury Connected love the products they sell and they want their clients to have a better experience when their new pair of trainers arrive. They know customers have been eagerly awaiting the latest design. When they place an order, they are keen to get their feet into those new trainers as soon as possible!
Luxury Connected prides itself on quick delivery and also wanted to improve on the random brown boxes provided by drop shipping companies. Branded packaging is a better reflection of the high-quality item inside.
Finding a Local Packaging Supplier
Luxury Connected rang around several local packaging suppliers to get quotes for printed boxes. They had created a design, based on their logo and wanted white boxes with a two-colour blue and black print.
Aylesbury Box Company were one of the suppliers to provide a quote. The fact that we offered much better value than other suppliers won us the business. We provided Luxury Connected with a sample, so they could check the print quality, cardboard thickness and suitability for sending their products. Happy that these fit the bill, an order was placed.
In addition to the bespoke boxes, Luxury Connected have invested in branded tape, tissue paper, cards and invoice envelopes. The overall effect gives the trainer packaging the expensive look that fits luxury items. The customer’s perception of the company and the trainers has raised because of the box they arrive in.
“Aylesbury Box Company provided a great service; I think the boxes even arrived earlier than expected. They look classy and that is the brand image that we want. We know customers will get excited when their order arrives”
– Alfie, Luxury Connected
The company was so satisfied, that a second order for the printed boxes has now been placed. Aylesbury Box Company wishes them every success in continuing to help customers fulfil their trainers wish list. Visit the Luxury Connected Facebook page for the latest ranges.

Trainer Wish List
Trainers were first worn by athletes in the 1900 Paris Olympics. The rubber soles made the runners noiseless, which coined the term Sneakers.
In 1920, Charles ‘Chuck’ Taylor, a semi-professional basketball player was employed by Converse. He suggested many ideas for extending the appeal of rubber-soled shoes. He was the first sports star to put his name to a pair of trainers. Converse All-Stars remain a highly desirable shoe – do you have a pair?
In 1985, Michael Jordan was the ultimate basketball icon and people wanted to identify with him. Footwear was the answer. The ‘Jumpman’ silhouette, combined with an evolving option of fresh colours and graphics have ensured the enduring appeal of Jordan Air trainers. At least one pair is a must-have on any sneaker fan’s wish list.
As an expression of identity and culture, sneakers have also been embraced by celebrities outside of the sporting arena. Music icons are also identified with specific brands – Run DMC even released a song – My Adidas. In 2015, Kayne West’s teamed up with Adidas to produce Yeezys. These push trainer design into new realms and are another wish list must for sneaker fans.
