Box Manufacturer Turns Green
The planet we live on is a precious thing. It offers the ideal conditions for life and has done for millions of years. We often take the resources it offers for granted, but 5th June is World Environment Day; it’s time to celebrate our world and inspire positive environmental action.
When nature is in balance, Earth is a wonderful place. It is full of a diverse range of habitats, plants, animals and people. It may feel that the challenges of environmental protection are too great for you to make a difference, but World Environmental Day shows that no one is working alone.
Each and every one of us can take positive action. Even small steps like insulating our homes, switching off electrical devices, recycling waste or opting for locally grown produce can make a difference.
Sustainable Business
In business, we can use ethical suppliers and use materials from sustainable sources. We can improve the efficiency of processes to reduce waste. We can actively encourage employees and customers to make environmentally sound decisions. One business taking these actions isn’t going to save the planet. If every business aims to reduce their environmental impact, the result could change the world.
Cardboard Manufacturer Takes Action
At Aylesbury Box Company, we are passionate about minimising our impact on the environment. As a cardboard box manufacturer we work with a sustainable material that can be reused, recycled and used again. We’re also working towards ISO 14001 certification; the global environmental standard. As part of this process, we have taken measures which include switching to LED lighting and using an eco-cleaning company.
Standing Up for What Makes Good Business Sense
Donald Trump pulled America out of the Paris Climate Agreement last week. Despite this, many US Governors and companies have already stated their plans to continue their work on meeting global environmental targets. Their motivation isn’t simply to protect the planet for future generations; there are often considerable financial and economic gains to be made from resource efficiency.
What commitment will you make on World Environment Day?
