New Box Company Employees

Happy New Year from all at Aylesbury Box Company!

Plans are underway to ensure we continue providing sustainable packaging and personable service to you, our customers, through 2023.

Let’s start things off by introducing two new members of our team, Larry & Sam. They both joined us at the end of November and have dived straight into their roles.

Aylesbury Box Company’s New Account Manager: Larry

If you are seeking packaging advice, requesting a quote or placing an order, it could be Larry answering the phone. Fortunately, he has worked in the packaging industry since 2004, so he knows what he is talking about! We were delighted to attract someone with such expertise in cardboard packaging to the role and know he will help with your enquiries.

“Our customers are mindful of waste and aware of their environmental impact. As a recycled and recyclable material, cardboard meets their requirement. It also helps that Aylesbury Box Company is an FSC certified company! However, green credentials must not compromise protection. Breakages and returns are expensive, so packaging has to minimise this risk and help maintain the brand reputation. Fortunately, cardboard packaging is robust and cushioning, so offers a good value solution.” – Larry Vidal

Larry joins our existing team of knowledgeable account managers; Helen, Adam and John. He will primarily focus on customers between Aylesbury and the South Coast. Out on the road, his advice and samples have already secured several new customers. He is keen to support our business growth and is off on the right foot!

Aylesbury Box Company’s New Forklift Driver: Sam

Warehouse efficiency is crucial for ensuring that all orders are manufactured, packed and shipped on time. As an experienced forklift driver, Sam is helping with the smooth running of warehouse operations.

Sam had previously worked at M&J Seafoods, which was a few units away on our industrial park. When they relocated, it proved quite a commute. Sam was looking for employment closer to home, which would offer a better work/life balance and we were delighted to offer him a job with us.

Sam can now cycle to work and is pleased to be based at a local company. We are impressed by how quickly he has got to grips with the warehouse layout and processes. He’s quickly proved himself an asset to our team.

Established Packaging Team

The majority of our packaging team has been with us for years and we value their skills and commitment. We know that supported, informed and happy employees provide the best service for clients and that is the work environment we nurture. It’s great to bring some new members into our fold and see how their skills and experience can benefit us all.

Box Company Plans for 2023

Recruitment was one step in moving the business forward in 2023. Other plans in the pipeline include:

– Investment in new machinery to streamline our box manufacturing processes

– A new Aylesbury Box Company website

– Continued action towards Net Zero production, coupled with ways to evidence our commitment to sustainability

– Helping our customers to understand Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for packaging and rethink packaging design to reduce the impact

We look forward to keeping you posted on these updates in the coming months.

In the meantime, please get in touch on 01296 436888 or enquiries@abcbox.co.uk to discuss your packaging requirements.
