All Boxes Great and Small
There is a perception that a packaging company like ours is only interested in bulk orders for large, established brands. There is a fear that minimum orders, design and printing costs takes bespoke packaging out of the reach of small, start-up companies.
Aylesbury Box Company would like to dispel that myth. Whilst we do have the technology, expertise and reliable team needed to fulfill large orders, we also work with many small businesses. Our team have helped hundreds of individuals to create bespoke retail packaging for farmers markets, craft fairs and e-commerce deliveries.
We know that an off-the-shelf packaging solution may seem like the best value when the budget is tight, but plain boxes are a missed opportunity. Branded packaging adds the professional touch and helps to get your business noticed.
Green Kitchen Preserves
A great example is Green Kitchen Preserves. Alison Cox had developed her skills in creating pickles and chutneys to make the most of the crops harvested from the family allotment. Initially, these jars were handed out to family and friends, but comments sparked the idea that this could become a home-grown business.
Having been given her grandma’s trusted Jam Pan, Alison set to work to expand her range, whilst meeting all of the necessary requirements of any food or drink producer.
You may have the chance to sample Alison’s produce at Oundle or Raunds Farmers Markets, Towcester or Althrop Food Festivals and other events in and around Northants.
Bespoke Packaging on a Budget
Green Kitchen Preserves are sold in recyclable glass jars, but when Alison wanted to provide gift boxes containing two or more jars of chutneys, jams, marmalade or pickles, she spoke to Aylesbury Box Company.
We were able to develop the perfect sized boxes for two or more jars. In addition, we were able to advise on printing the packaging. Using single-colour flexographic print, it has been possible to create striking bespoke packaging to fit with the company’s branding.
There is a small cost associated with the initial set up of flexographic print tooling. After that, the printed design can then be applied as part of the standard manufacturing process, every time we take an order from Alison. This makes it a cost-effective solution, even for the most budget-conscious small business.
Green Kitchen Preserves are now being stocked in a number of stores, as well as online. We wish Alison every success with growing her brand and enabling more people to taste her delicious pickles.
