Popping popcorn onto the shelf is a quick and easy process for retailers that stock Bare Snacks. That’s because they are delivered in shelf ready boxes. This means that the shipping boxes include perforations so the top can be torn off. The retailer is left with a branded tray full of premium popcorn packets, ready for consumers to grab and go. We also supply them with printed shipping boxes.

Bare Snack Packs

Bare Snacks was launched by founder Dom when he was just 24. Drawing on his father’s knowledge of the food industry, his product range is now sold B2B to independent stores, small supermarkets and universities. Flavours include the popular sweet & salty, along with smoky maple and cinnamon – all low-fat, vegetarian-friendly and tasty!

After 8 years in business and a move to larger premises, the company has just rebranded. They spoke to us about a cost-effective way to differentiate the shelf ready boxes for each flavour in the range. The solution was to create a single, generic stereo (printing plate) for the brand. The difference is achieved by using specific ink colours for each flavour. Blue for sea salt, pink for sweet and purple for smoky maple. The result is low cost retail packaging!

Sustainable Packaging & Local Supplier

We have supplied boxes to Bare Snacks for many years, but they have recently moved all of their cardboard packaging requirements over to us. One of the reasons is our shared commitment to green credentials. We supply sustainable packaging that is 100% recyclable and printed with vegan, water-based inks.

On the eco theme, we are both Buckinghamshire-based businesses and finding a local supplier has benefits. Firstly, it reduces the carbon footprint of deliveries. Secondly, it’s great for the local economy and finally, it makes it possible to pop in if we need to talk through an order request or drop off samples.

Boxes in All Shapes & Sizes

These  boxes aren’t the only retail packaging we supply to the Bare Snacks team. For several years, the company has also undertaken production for other brands and small supermarkets. The products they are packaging include other popcorn varieties, advent calendars and novelty snacks. As a result, they need different sizes and print to fit with retailer and brand requirements. These include simple, plain cases and pallet cartons for retail distribution, along with a range of print designs.

We often receive calls from Dom, when he has identified a potential new customer and needs a quote. Not all of them lead to new business for him or us, but when his products get the thumbs up, we both land an order!
