Monochrome Printed Packaging for Photographic Film Specialist

You might believe that digital imagery marked the end of the road for photographic film. The convenience of grabbing a snap on your phone surely out-weighs the effort involved in manually setting up a shot. When we were approached by Analogue Wonderland to create printed packaging, we were surprised to learn that, far from seeing its demise, sales of photographic film were actually increasing.

Film, Print and Creative Imagery

With digital imagery, everything is laid on for you. Point the camera, click and you have captured the moment. This sounds great, but it removes both control over the image and the entire creative process that keen photographers love.

By providing an extensive range of over 180 different types of film, Analogue Wonderland is encouraging photographers to pick up their cameras and express something unique. The e-commerce company takes orders for black and white film, Polaroid packs, slide films, 16mm movie film reels and infrared films. They also source popular 35mm films, alongside specialist options which aren’t widely stocked.

The choice of film, coupled with the frame and focus combine to produce effects that simply wouldn’t be possible with a digital camera. The development of the film is another creative process, where the tonal range and contrast can be altered to create atmosphere, texture and drama. This is where photography becomes an art.

Protective Printed Packaging

Not surprisingly, Analogue Wonderland was looking for an e-commerce packaging solution that would provide adequate protection for transporting photographic film. The company wanted a simple, stylish print, which reflected their brand but wasn’t too costly.

As a naturally protective packaging material, corrugated cardboard boxes make the ideal packaging choice. We created e-commerce delivery boxes to dimensions suited to their product range. They were taken by the idea of internal and external box printing of a monochrome design.

Following the initial set up, the application of the black print can be applied as part of the manufacturing process. As such, the cost and time implications of printing are kept to a minimum. Analogue Wonderland benefits from branded boxes, for little more than the cost of producing a standard, plain delivery box.

Bespoke Box Manufacturer

If you’ve opted for off-the-shelf delivery boxes, because you were concerned that printed packaging would be too costly, think again. Aylesbury Box Company is happy to discuss the options, recommend solutions and provide you and your customers with printed cardboard packaging.

We design and manufacture all boxes in our Aylesbury packaging warehouse, so can fulfil requests for unusual dimensions, styles or finishes. From fragile ceramics and glass to bulky motorbike wheels, play equipment and electronics, we offer bespoke e-commerce packaging that fits the bill.

Perfect Delivery for Budding Photographers

If there’s a neglected camera hidden in some corner of your home, the purchase of a reel of film could be all it takes to re-ignite your passion for creative photography. A box of film could make the ideal Christmas gift for a budding photographer and if you are intrigued, but have only ever used a digital camera, the Analogue Wonderland website includes a Beginner’s Guide and a YouTube video channel for support.
