One of our customers is Coles Books in Bicester, which is the oldest independent bookshop in North Oxfordshire. Whilst they provide a delightful haven for local book lovers, they also offer an online service. As specialists in limited edition and signed books, they have customers from around the world, so they needed suitable packaging.

The logo for Coles Books is an illuminated letter ‘C’; a style that was widely used in historic manuscripts and books. Rather than a small print of the logo, this ornate design has been enlarged to adorn the packaging. Printed in grey on the bespoke cardboard box, is not evident that it is a single letter or a logo. It just works as a stylish design.
Aylesbury Box Company designed a 0427 carton to the specific dimensions requested by Coles Books. This is a popular presentation box is ideal for delivering smaller products. It is delivered flat-packed for ease of storage but assembles easily. The overlapping sides give added strength and durability to the box. Furthermore, it is self-sealing, yet easy to open by the recipient.
Essentially, this style of packaging looks great and it keeps the goods inside looking great.

The team at Coles Books are inspired to get everyone reading. They run a weekly Storytime session for parents and pre-schoolers. Abiding by social distancing measures, the bookshop has remained open, but groups like Storytime have had to go online.
