Bespoke fittings company, Corston Architectural Detail, were looking for a UK packaging company. They wanted simple, yet protective, plastic-free packaging with white print. Aylesbury Box Company were one of the few packaging suppliers who could offer a raw cardboard finish with  vivid-white ink print.

Packaging for E-commerce Deliveries

Products are ordered online and the company were keen that the goods arrive in pristine condition. To protect the goods in transit, they are initially wrapped in muslin bags, before being carefully placed into the delivery box. The boxes are sealed with a paper-based gummed tape. All of the packaging is plastic-free and recyclable.

The Future of Corston Architectural Detail Packaging

Although the current packaging avoids plastic, the company see scope to further reduce the environmental impact. With an interest in the circular economy, they are considering packaging that optimises recycled and recyclable materials. Future options including soya-based inks for printed packaging and pulp packaging for internal box elements are being explored.
